We ordered equipment that was supposed to arrive in two weeks, but of course it didn't. It still didn't arrive the following week. After inquiring twice, I was told to contact the main branch. We ended up buying from a competitor in Bochum and were able to take everything with us the same day. Two stars because the employee was very helpful.

Hello, Unfortunately, I can only give this store one star and cannot recommend it. This is because when I arrived on Friday, there was a note on the door announcing a change to the opening time for that day (2 pm) along with the owner's phone number. This was very frustrating, as I had traveled from a distance and there aren't many football shops nearby. After waiting another two hours until the opening time indicated on the note arrived, I was still standing in front of closed doors, and the owner was nowhere to be found. At 2:20 pm, I couldn't even reach him by phone to ask where he was. In my opinion, this is absolutely outrageous. At 2:40 pm, he finally answered the phone but said it would take even longer and he didn't know when he would arrive. Two hours each way and three hours of waiting for nothing. In total, this whole ordeal cost me seven hours, and I only got to admire the store from the outside on my day off. Such information should be posted online, even if it's at short notice, since not everyone can make the trip to see the front door! FYI: there was nothing online either! I won't be going back to that store!

We were there with our son to buy equipment, which isn't always easy, and we weren't disappointed. It's a really great shop and the service was excellent!

The staff on the phone were very friendly, but I haven't been able to visit in person yet, as the store is inconsistently open, sometimes closing an hour early, and you never know if anyone will be there. The opening hours listed on the door, on Google, and on their website all seem to be incorrect. I arrived to find the door closed at 7 pm on Friday, closed at noon on Saturday, and closed at 6 pm on Tuesday. Fantastic, considering I drove 45 minutes for this. Don't go there without calling ahead. I was told they were open on Tuesday, but apparently not at the advertised hours; I should have double-checked. I've definitely lost interest. I'd rather wait for a delivery or drive to Bochum.

Before driving down to the shop I checked the opening hours. Still I am standing before a closed door. No notes left behind and also not able to contact anybody with the provided phone numbers.

Since 2006/2007, I've always enjoyed being a customer at Bonzo. Always a smile on his face and a witty remark ready. I bought all my equipment from him back then. I think it's fantastic that the shop is still there. It brings back so many memories. ❤️

A really funny guy. He only really speaks American English, but he's totally cool and fair. We bought shoulder pads, padding pants, and a shirt. Excellent advice and a great selection. But please speak English. It makes you feel like you're right in America. Super nice.

Regarding the new shop in Mülheim: It probably depends on what you're looking for or need. In our case, it was a football helmet for our son. We found that quickly. Unfortunately, the salesperson apparently hasn't been able to get a black facemask to this day. We went there three times in two weeks and left our phone number twice. We're still waiting for a call back. After waiting two weeks and calling several times, we bought the complete helmet from the competitor in Bochum. If you offer not only merchandise but also equipment, you should be able to serve local and neighboring American football clubs promptly. A black facemask shouldn't be a problem. Since there's absolutely no parking available, next time I'd probably just go directly to the competitor rather than making multiple trips to First Down. It's a real shame. The salesperson is very nice, but I doubt the shop will last long if it's not possible to get something quickly. The merchandise selection isn't that huge.

Absolutely fantastic, always friendly and helpful, no matter what, they try their best to get things for us. I ordered jerseys there and less than three weeks later everything was ready. They even suggested changes and implemented them perfectly to make the jerseys look even better. If I could give more than five stars, I would.
