Back when it was still Sport Haase, you'd come to a super friendly store and receive excellent advice from professionally qualified staff. They also offered very fair prices and always tried to accommodate special requests! Today, there's nothing, absolutely nothing, left of that! What a shame for Neuss.
Owner's response

Hello, this store was recommended to us, and unfortunately, we were disappointed. The initial service was okay, but after I expressed my preference—specifically, what color and brand I wanted—I was treated very rudely and told to just take whatever was available. Furthermore, they didn't have any of the items in my size. I think the store in Düsseldorf is much better! Best regards

We felt very friendly and well advised on several shopping trips with our children.

Hello, Here's a somewhat unpleasant review that might save you from an awkward situation in person. While searching for a stringing service I urgently needed, I ended up at Sport Thelen. Even though my teammates advised me against the shop, I went there with an open mind. Since I couldn't find any prices for the stringing service on their website, I decided to see what they had to offer. In the shop itself, they offered me the service, including the stringing service, for €35. Since I was short on cash and could use a friend's mechanical stringing machine, I decided to buy just the stringing service. I was charged €25 for just the stringing service. When I got home, I discovered that the same stringing service was available online for just under €10. Since I urgently needed the stringing service, I decided to keep it and move on. ... After two months, it was time again. I ordered a new string online and went to Sport Thelen to have my racket strung. Since the service was offered to me for €35 last time, including the string, and I paid €25 for the string, I was hoping to pay €10, maybe €15, for the stringing. The same person I spoke to two months ago now offered me the stringing service for €30! When I brought up my last visit, he tried to justify himself, presumably because he didn't initially remember me. When I finally received the half-hearted reply, "[...]nothing's happened yet[...]", I gathered my things and left. The first time, they took advantage of my predicament and ripped me off. They tried the same tactic the second time. Apparently, they set the prices on the spot based on their whims, depending on the impression you make.
Owner's response
Dear Jascha,<br><br>we are very sorry about that. We are aware that online prices are sometimes significantly cheaper. However, we are a brick-and-mortar specialist retailer and do not support online purchases. Therefore, we charge more for an externally sourced string than for one purchased in-store. Stringing takes 30 minutes, and our staff is paid fairly for their time. Many customers still appreciate that.
