I can highly recommend the shop's repair service. Mr. Selmi took my repair order and gave me expert advice. I'm very satisfied with the value for money. They only repaired what was actually broken. My bike was repaired and returned to me quickly, with the correct tire pressure and some gummy bears for the kids, courtesy of Mr. Selmi. Simply fantastic!!!

Conclusion: Höni can only sell if problems arise later, and as always, the customer is the one who loses out. I bought a Bulls Lacuba Evo Lite from Höni Bicycles in May 2019 for €3,799. I chose Höni because I believed I would get good local service. This turned out to be a misconception. The bike was presented to Höni for inspection with 1,000 km on the clock. So far, so good. Now the bike hasn't even covered 1,500 km. Suddenly, a loose connection between the display and the motor was discovered. Höni then told me the repair would cost €360. These bikes were sold off because it was a known problem. When I asked them to consider the repair costs based on the low mileage, I was met with complete incomprehension. I feel cheated because I was sold an expensive bike, and, as I read online, this defect is so serious that they're no longer selling these bikes. It's very disappointing that Höni has shown no willingness to accommodate me. Since this isn't a cheap bike at €3,799, I had hoped for some understanding from Höni.

Höni is always my first choice. The guys in the workshop react quickly and even complete orders immediately when there's a bike repair. In sales, you only meet well-trained specialists.

Our e-bike needed new brake pads. We called, made an appointment, and the repair was done quickly. The cost was quoted to us beforehand, and that's exactly what we paid. Everything was very reliable! We're satisfied.

Based on my experience with their customer service, I can only advise against this retailer. The story: The purchase of a cargo bike from Zweirad Höni about five years ago was a very businesslike, cold, and unfriendly experience. A little over a year ago, Höni called and scheduled the bike for special maintenance due to a manufacturer's recall. The call was very brief, and neither during the call, nor upon delivery or collection, were we informed about the reason for the recall or what would be done. We recently had a certification at our company, and the bike was to be inspected as part of the process. In this context, they asked for proof of service related to the recall. I called Höni, explained the situation, and was told I had received the proof by email. My objection that this hadn't happened was dismissed with, "That comes from the manufacturer; you'll have to call them." When I called the manufacturer, who was very helpful, it turned out that the bike wasn't registered to me by the retailer, and no service record had been uploaded. Neither the manufacturer's call nor my subsequent call to Höni yielded any results. The manner of the phone call was appalling. An email I sent to Höni, including the manufacturer's information, has gone unanswered to this day. It's an absolute disgrace how little service this retailer provides. Unwilling communication and a complete lack of commitment. I will never shop there again.

A Disappointing Bike Shop I've visited this bike shop several times recently to buy spare parts or accessories. Unfortunately, I've found that they don't carry certain brands at all, or only offer mid-range accessories at inflated prices. Furthermore, when I asked about reputable manufacturers like DT Swiss or SRAM, I was often met with a dismissive response. There are certain items that are simply "must-haves," but instead of addressing them, they're criticized or a less suitable alternative is recommended. For example, I was offered a relatively basic lock for a very expensive bike, which raises the question of whether it provides adequate protection for such a bike. Even with e-bikes that don't have Bosch motors, like my Brose motor, they couldn't offer any assistance. I'm fully aware that local retailers can't always compete with online retailers on price. I also like to buy from local shops when it makes sense. I understand that you can't have everything on-site or in stock, but the selection of accessories, such as locks or lights, is anything but satisfactory. While certain parts can be ordered, in the age of the internet, that makes little sense – I can order them myself more cheaply and don't need a local dealer. One salesperson even referred me to another dealer in Schwerte. This shop might still be suitable for occasional cyclists who aren't able or willing to carry out repairs themselves. However, anyone with more demanding cycling needs will hardly find what they're looking for here. I've known this shop since my childhood, so for 40 years, and I remember a time when spare parts of all kinds were readily available. Unfortunately, that era seems to be over. It's a shame. For the reasons mentioned, I can no longer recommend this shop.

The store staff are friendly, attentive, and helpful. I lost a crankshaft bolt on my way there. Since I could only pay with Google Pay, a kind employee kindly provided me with a replacement bolt, as the store doesn't yet offer this payment method. So, excellent service – competent, friendly, and helpful. Highly recommended!

Great shop. Top-notch advice. Everything was explained very clearly, including a test ride. The price-performance ratio is excellent. Be sure to check out the used bikes. These are lease returns/buybacks, so you can get a great entry-level model for little money.
