Excellent advice, I have now bought two different shoes (running shoe and trail running shoe) there, the advice was great both times.

Here, customer service is paramount, and there's no pressure to buy anything. I arrived on Saturday half an hour before closing time, and they kindly suggested that it would be better to take more time and relax to find the right shoe. True to my word, they took their time and provided expert advice so I left happy. They shared tips and personal stories. It was fantastic! Thanks for the great shoes! 👟

I was looking for a new pair of training shoes and found exactly what I needed here. Thanks to the expert advice and a clear gait analysis, I found the perfect model for me. The young man was friendly, professional, and took plenty of time – highly recommended!

While searching for new running shoes, I booked an appointment at Bunert through their website. I arrived at the store for my appointment. They immediately asked what I needed the shoes for and what my goals were. This was followed by a gait analysis in the store using a camera and pressure plate. Afterward, I was given three models to try on, and later (because I was still unsure) three more to try (I chose the second one!). The service was excellent. The saleswoman was incredibly friendly. The selection was also fantastic. If you can't find running shoes here, you don't need any. I would definitely buy my next running shoes here again.

After a long time, I bought two pairs of running shoes in a store in the fall of 2024 instead of online. I was very satisfied with the advice: they seemed competent, took their time, and addressed my individual needs. This part of the purchase was top-notch. But the quality is especially evident when something goes wrong. After about 500 km and almost a year, the soles of the New Balance shoes are very worn and therefore no longer fully usable for their intended purpose, as they no longer provide the necessary grip – especially in wet conditions. I drove to Wuppertal – showed them the shoes – the complaint was accepted without any complications – after two weeks I inquired – they forgot to submit a complaint – sent photos again – submitted the complaint through Bunert – after a few days, they simply forwarded New Balance's response that the wear was normal – when I asked again, the answer was more or less "that's just how it is." I'll spare you any further comments and assessments as to whether this is actually normal (I have a completely different opinion, which has been confirmed to me by people who have actually been familiar with this for years). But if I use a specialist retailer, I expect them to represent my interests and advocate for me, even in critical situations. Otherwise, I can also buy online and then handle the complaint myself (incidentally, New Balance rejected my own attempt to complain and referred me to the retailer). My conclusion: - Next time, I'll shop online - No more purchases from Bunert Too bad, it actually started out well. 2 stars because of the good advice during the purchase.

Unfortunately, I'm quite disappointed now. I bought running shoes from Bunert at the end of May for €190. I was satisfied with the advice I received and accepted that the shoes cost €60 more than online. After all, you have a direct contact person afterward... After 180km, I had a hole in one heel, and the other side was also close to developing one. So I took the shoes back, and they were sent for repair. The next run after the repair only lasted 2km because a spot under the patch was pressing on the shoe, causing a huge blister. So I went back again, expecting to have the area repaired. Instead, the employee told me it was my own fault and also responsible for the shoes getting damaged in the first place. He said I hadn't laced them tightly enough. There was nothing more they could do, and I should just tape my heels and lace the shoes more tightly. I left the store quite disappointed. Two weeks later, after the blister had healed, I decided to give them another chance. Who would have thought it, another open heel. Result: I paid one euro for every kilometer and now I can't use the shoes anymore.

Hello Philippe,
We would like to comment on two points regarding your review.

1.) Pricing:
You deliberately chose a shoe from the upper price segment. The €190 is the manufacturer's recommended retail price (RRP). It's entirely possible that the shoe is (now) discounted by a few euros in various online shops. However, due to the detailed consultation we provide on-site, we simply can't compete with these prices. We generally offer our customers a variety of shoe models. The prices range between €120 and €200, which we communicate before each consultation.

2.) Shoe defect and repair:
To keep this brief, we would like to briefly refer you to the following article regarding the defect and the repair: https://lauftipps.ch/ausruestung/laufschuhe/durchgescheuerte-fersenkappen-reparieren/
The fact that holes can appear in the lining is due to mechanical stress within the shoe, and this can happen with both a €50 and a €190 shoe. From long experience, we can say that this rarely happens "just like that." When you showed us the shoe again after the repair, the laces were still knotted. We can only speculate whether you always opened the shoes to put them on and take them off. If this wasn't the case, this increases the wear immensely – you won't be able to get the shoe off easily, at least not without rubbing the mesh in the heel. If you laced your shoe too loosely while running, it's easier to take it off, but your heel bone will rub with every step while running—especially in thin or less reinforced socks. We also discussed this on-site.

We hope this information has shed some light on the matter.
Your team from Laufsport Bunert in Wuppertal.

I called at lunchtime and was pleasantly surprised to simply drop by, asking for their understanding about the wait. It wasn't a problem. I was greeted warmly as agreed, but unfortunately, a consultation was declined because it would take 30-40 minutes. It would have been exactly within my timeframe, and I had inquired about it beforehand. Too bad. I'll shop elsewhere.
