I had to visit the workshop twice within a few days with a flat rear tire. Both times, the repair was squeezed in at short notice and completed quickly and easily. The staff in both the workshop and sales department were competent and friendly. Thank you very much!

I own a Cube Kathmandu e-bike and wanted to take it to the Cube Store in Mainz for repair. When I called to schedule an appointment for January 23, 2026, I was first asked if I had purchased the bike from them. I had to say no, as the specific model I wanted wasn't in stock at the time. After that, I was very rudely informed that they don't repair bikes that weren't purchased from them and, furthermore, that all repair appointments were booked up until August 2026! Anyone who believes that also believes the earth is flat. Never again Cube Store Mainz!!!

Hi Thomas,<br><br>Thank you for your review. We'd like to clarify something.<br><br>Yes, we usually ask on the phone whether a bike was purchased from us. This is for organizational reasons and helps us categorize the bike (e.g., history, warranty/documentation, existing data in our system). It's not a reason for exclusion.<br><br>It's also true that our workshop is currently operating with waiting lists extending into August 2026. This may seem unrealistic to you, but unfortunately, it reflects our actual workload – also due to the high demand for workshop appointments.<br><br>The statement that we generally don't repair bicycles that weren't purchased from us is incorrect. We regularly have bikes from other vendors in our workshop, provided we have capacity.<br><br>We understand that you perceived the phone call as unfriendly – however, after internal review, we cannot confirm this impression. You were given a transparent explanation of the current appointment situation.

I got the impression that the salespeople weren't interested in advising customers. I was very disappointed with the team in Bretzenheim. I generally think the Cube brand is very good, but with that kind of attitude towards customers, I have no interest in investing my money there 👎🏻

This was our second visit to the store, this time intending to buy bikes for the whole family. The service was abysmal, with them simply referring us to their online shop and not even attempting to present any options. We've been Cube riders for a long time, but that's about to change. Unfortunately, zero stars isn't an option, but that would be a more accurate assessment. As you can see from the owner's comment below, this is a distortion of the facts, intended to portray this review as flawed. It isn't! Nor were our expectations unreasonable.

We cannot let this account stand.<br><br>During your visit, you received direct advice. The model you inquired about had already been sold and prepared for leasing – therefore, a test ride was not possible. This is standard procedure and serves to protect the already sold bicycle.<br><br>You were offered the option of ordering an identical model without obligation so that your wife could test ride it at her leisure. This is the usual and fair procedure when a particular model is no longer available. However, this offer was declined.<br><br>There was no mention of our online shop in this context. Nor were alternatives rejected – the only limitation was that a bicycle that had already been sold could no longer be test-ridden.<br><br>It's unfortunate that this impression arose. Your review reflects your personal expectations, not the actual course of the consultation.

Highly recommended! I'm very happy with the Cube Store in Mainz. The service was excellent. I'd especially like to commend the workshop staff: they are friendly and competent. My bike is in the best hands there. Keep up the good work!

I went there actually wanting to buy a bike but their rudeness and lack of professionalism was so annoying. I don’t recommend you going there specifically if you are not a local.

Amazing, fast, friendly, and helpful service! I was panicking because my shifter cable broke and I had to leave for bike race in Austria later that day. Additionally, my bike is my only mode of transportation! The people working in the shop were so kind and helped me very quickly. The work was great quality too! As a note— I wrote my review in English because my German isn’t great. I've only lived here a few months and went into the shop with "Mein hinter Kabel ist kaputt." (and my terrible American accent!) they still were incredibly nice and one of mechanics was able to help me in English as well. Highly recommend this bike shop!
