Very unfriendly staff in both the rental and sales areas. There was only one group ahead of us, so the wait was short. However, they definitely need to improve their customer service skills. I would recommend everyone go to the other ski rental shop. It's cheaper and, more importantly, much friendlier.

I booked a beginner ski course with my son. The online booking process was seamless, and the on-site organization was structured and well-prepared. The entire team, including the ski instructors, was friendly and helpful – even during the holiday season with its correspondingly high volume of visitors. However, the rental equipment is a point of criticism. The ski bindings used seem neither modern nor practical for beginners. Several course participants had difficulty getting into their skis independently, which led to delays in the start of the course and created extra work for the ski instructors. In my case, the binding repeatedly came loose – sometimes even while skiing. Even after the ski instructors adjusted it correctly, the problem persisted. Only after several complaints to the shop was I offered an alternative model. On a positive note, the owner personally addressed the issue and offered a solution! Regardless of the staff's extensive experience, I consider the equipment provided unsuitable for a beginner ski course. In my opinion, there is significant room for improvement, particularly regarding safety and ease of use. The ski instructors were dedicated within the available two-hour lesson time and taught the basics in a structured manner. However, due to the repeated problems with the rental equipment, I cannot recommend the ski school overall.

A beautiful, well-maintained, well-positioned, and attractively designed establishment. We've even had our skis waxed there for €20. The agreed-upon pick-up time was also kept. Friendly service and convenient opening hours. I wish them continued success and always satisfied customers. 🤔😄👍

I really appreciated the open and humorous atmosphere; customer service is clearly a top priority. I was even able to rent skis for my children the evening before, despite the long queue at the return desk, and the staff were always very accommodating. I wasn't charged until the following day. Truly excellent service; I'll definitely be back.

I rented skis, ski boots, a helmet, and poles for the whole day for €40. Ski goggles weren't available for rent. The equipment was fine. The downside: I had to wait 30-40 minutes before I was even allowed in. The equipment had to be returned by 6:00 PM, even though the lift runs until 8:00 PM. Later, I found out there's another ski rental shop right by the lift. There, the equipment costs around €30, there's no waiting time, and you can use the equipment until 8:00 PM. So, check out BOTH ski rental shops first before you join a queue.

Such unfriendly service 👎🏻 Five people made snide remarks because we were 5 minutes late. It's worth noting that the lift closes at 10 PM and the rental shop at 6 PM. And by the way, €110 for three people is quite excessive! Addendum: The response below perfectly illustrates the customer service we experienced on-site… We had to listen to these kinds of lectures from every single employee on our way from the shop, through the workshop, to the rental shop… all because of 5 minutes!!! 🤦🏼♂️ For your information: we arrived at the door at 6:05 PM, but it was already locked, and we had to walk through the front of the shop where even more people were trying to return their equipment. You only have to read the other reviews to see how open to criticism they are! Well, we sincerely apologize for being 5 minutes late with three children! Have fun! 👋🏻 P.S.: Our bindings were also set extremely loosely, so the skis kept falling off... we observed the same issue with several others on the slopes.

Hi Dirk, it's incredibly easy, of course, to always blame the service provider for your own failure...!!?! After consulting with our dedicated staff, who strive to make our valued customers' stay in Altenberg as pleasant as possible, especially through friendly interaction with our guests, we learned that the equipment was returned after 6:15 pm! If you choose to use our opening hours of 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, which are clearly displayed at all entrances to our business, and are also reminded of closing times by our staff, then you should adhere to them, because that's precisely why they exist!!! Our hardworking employees are highly motivated and do everything they can every day to manage the enormous workload, especially during the holidays! After closing time, the skis are freshly prepared and all equipment is made ready for the next day! I don't understand what our business hours have to do with the opening of the ski lift; it's simply incomprehensible to me! Likewise, the prices for our rental equipment are publicly available, for example, on the internet, just like our opening hours! Should you find these unreasonable, please do not enter into a contractual agreement with us and simply do not rent from us! Complaining about this afterward is completely inappropriate! Our equipment is serviced, disinfected, and freshly waxed daily. The rental price is therefore absolutely commensurate with the service provided in every respect. I think you yourself realize that all your flimsy arguments are inappropriate and unfounded! We are, of course, always open to honest and constructive criticism in order to continuously improve. After waiting for 1.5 hours (!!) I was told rudely and arrogantly that I couldn't rent boots for my skis because they didn't want to assume liability for them. I wonder what the heck a ski shop is even for. 🤦🏻♂️ Never again. I highly recommend going to the other shop by the lift to rent equipment.

On behalf of my three companions, we would like to offer the following feedback: When we picked up our ski equipment, we received excellent service: The employee provided expert advice, the ski boots fit perfectly, and the skis and poles were correctly sized. However, when we returned the equipment two days later, it was not clear where we were supposed to leave the skis. Instead of a brief explanation, we were addressed in an unfriendly tone, and the staff even made fun of us in our presence. We found this disrespectful. Please either ensure that the return area is clearly marked or that employees provide brief and friendly assistance in such situations.

Great team, friendly service, good equipment – thank you!!! Yes, you need patience. When a lot of people want to rent skis, the line can take up to an hour. But once it was our turn: very friendly staff and competent service. We'll definitely do it again!
