Unfortunately, it's closed. We couldn't find the shop at first, as it's marked on Google Maps near the S-Bahn station. After searching for a while, we found a shop with the same name in the Allee Center, which was also closed; there were no used bicycles to be seen there. It looked very different from the photos.

Anyone who has been defrauded by this shop and deprived of their money and property should contact us at sammelklage-evidence-bike@web.de. We will then contact you. Four months ago, we took an expensive bike in for repair and paid a deposit of €600. We were told it would take a week to repair. After being put off several times, the owners have not responded for two months, and the shop in the Allee-Center is deserted. Money gone, bike gone. A criminal complaint is now being filed, a lawyer is also being hired, and if more people—we already have a few of us—are found who have also been harmed, please get in touch.

Where do you even begin? To be fair, the nice gentleman was right that the part couldn't be repaired. A new part was needed! Okay. It would take 2-3 weeks. Also okay! From week 4 onwards, I took the liberty of inquiring, and was told the part would be delivered in a few days, still okay. In week 5, I was told the part had arrived and asked if I wanted to sell the broken part to one of his colleagues. That was the first time I became suspicious. And they would deliver the parts to my home that same evening. In week 6, I started questioning his stories a bit more, and then there were some illnesses on the table. In week 7, I was told I could pick everything up in 2 hours. In week 8, I was banned from the store because I had allegedly called him a liar and a fraudster. But now comes the kicker: I took the broken part to a large bicycle retailer. The first reaction was, "Oh, that part again." The bottom line is, everything has to be redone, and I only saved 50 euros. If they had communicated properly from the start, none of this would have been a problem. My recommendation: go to the big chains; they're definitely more honest, even if they're a bit more expensive. Update! Check out the owner's response, and you'll understand!

Owner's response

Mr. Torge, several criminal charges have already been filed against you, and we've had enough of your insulting behavior and threats! Because of the lies you spread, we've already suffered significant losses in revenue, which we filed with the court today through our lawyer. You are legally obligated to pay for these losses; it's enshrined in the criminal code! Anyone who makes false statements and thereby harms another person must expect to face claims for damages, and that's precisely the case here. So, be prepared for what's coming. Charges of threats, trespassing, and serious insults are already being prosecuted against you! See you in court!

Anyone who loves their bike should steer clear of this shop!!! I've also been waiting for my bike for over two months. After many rambling excuses, there's now radio silence. A lawyer is now handling the case, and a complaint has been filed.

Deceitful and unreliable. After my wheels and saddle were stolen from the frame in April, I sold the frame to Evidence Bike. I was promised a cost estimate for the parts that would have made the bike rideable again, which I could then submit to my insurance company. To this day (July), I've been given the runaround and repeatedly lied to, told that the estimate is on its way. No one answers the phone. I feel completely ripped off.

Owner's response

Dear Mr. Junge,
You have already received the requested documents by mail several times (verifiably by registered mail).
Your problem is that you want to receive more from the insurance company for the actual value of the parts!
And we don't deal with insurance fraud!!!
Good luck with your project, but we're out of the loop at this point!!!
And the reason you can't reach us is simply that I am currently receiving inpatient treatment due to an acute health condition. Therefore, our store is currently closed!!!

I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this fraudulent shop. They billed me €195 for repairs that were never carried out. It's impossible to have a reasonable discussion with the owner.

Owner's response

With us, a fair settlement is always possible, but if you behave as if you've just flown through the nursery in a jet, a settlement is simply impossible! If you behave as requested and treat them with respect, then a solution can be reached. And if the repair cost that much, then the repair was carried out!

My daughter and I also had the "pleasure" of experiencing the new shop. Regarding the tone, pricing, and overall demeanor, I can only agree with the previous reviewers. We were fortunate, however, that the repair shop proactively stated they would no longer be repairing the bicycle (I didn't quite understand why, but I was so relieved that I didn't inquire further). My daughter had to pay the full price upfront – where does that happen? She did receive a full refund, albeit unfriendly. The owner then dismissed us with the words that we shouldn't bother coming back. Thanks for the tip – I wouldn't have gone back anyway. The previous shop was so lovely; unfortunately, nothing of that remains – quite the opposite, in fact. Go somewhere else!

Owner's response

I honestly can't imagine what could have gotten into you again, but I'm happy to review the matter to find a solution that works for both of us.

Therefore, please call us to schedule an appointment so we can review the situation together.

I should have been suspicious when, despite an appointment (made by phone the day before), I found the door locked. A week later, we arrived with the bike; they wanted it repaired. The workshop manager was very friendly but kept interrupting the owner, among other things, because of the new material price list. We were supposed to pay half the down payment, preferably in cash... aha. Direct bank transfer worked, too. We emphasized that there was no rush, so it didn't matter that a tire had to be ordered. A week later, the owner called to say the prices had changed and there would be an additional €50, which I found odd. We arranged to pick up the bike 10 days later. The same person called again, saying we should pick up the bike immediately. He said there were problems at the company. However, we couldn't make it much sooner. When we picked it up, they again demanded cash, supposedly as agreed... unfortunately, they didn't have the tires we had chosen on. The owner said that was why the bike was cheaper. What can you say? Then they indignantly made false claims (we were under pressure to meet deadlines). It's a disgrace. From start to finish, unfortunately, it's no comparison to the past, when they were honest. But the workshop manager is great.

I took my bicycle to this workshop at the beginning of March to have two new inner tubes installed, as it had been sitting in the garage for a while and had flat tires. I was quoted a price of around 70 euros for this. Then the employee pointed out that the brake pads should be replaced, the cables checked, the gears adjusted, and the whole bicycle should be overhauled. For a fixed price of 120 euros, I would get a great-looking bicycle again. I agreed to this offer. Then I had to pay a deposit of 50% of the total bill, 60 euros, in cash. This procedure should have been a red flag. About a week later, I received a call informing me that the bicycle was a total loss, or that they would repair it for 385 euros. They also asked if I wanted to leave it at the workshop. I declined both offers. Today I picked up the bicycle. My 50% deposit of €60 was withheld with the explanation that this was the cost of the inspection I had supposedly requested. I clarified that I had requested a repair at a fixed price of €120, not an inspection with a subsequent cost estimate, as clearly stated on the work order. Initially, the owner claimed the agreed-upon repair price of €120 was his employee's mistake. When I pointed out that he is also liable for his employees' errors, the fixed price of €120, as noted on the work order, was then interpreted as the agreed-upon price for replacing the two inner tubes and tires. I consider this practice not only unethical and deceitful, but downright criminal. I strongly advise against doing business with this garage. A small note: In his comment on the negative review two weeks ago, the owner himself points out that a 50% deposit is always required. Therefore, he confirms that in my case, the €60 was indeed a deposit for the repair.

Owner's response

As can be seen, Ms. Goerg commissioned the inspection, tire change, and brake repair for a fixed price of €120. The inspection, which cost €60, was carried out. During the inspection, it became apparent that further work on the bike still needed to be done. After repeated telephone calls asking whether the extensive repair, costing €385, should be completed, Ms. Goerg replied in the negative. We then informed her that she could come and pick up her bike. The costs for the inspection, during which the extensive necessary repairs were discovered, had of course already accrued. Therefore, we charged our €60 for the service, which Ms. Goerg had already paid in advance. Upon collection, the customer expected to be reimbursed for the €60 inspection. We explained the situation several times and tried to reach an agreement, but unfortunately, this was unsuccessful. It is a shame that despite discussions, no understanding or agreement could be reached. From our point of view, the customer is unfortunately not willing to reach an agreement.

The business has been taken over by a new owner, and I had the pleasure of meeting him today when I brought my bicycle in for repairs. The way he treated me as a customer prompted me to leave immediately. Anyone who treats their potential customers like that won't last long in the market. Definitely not recommended, and the new owner has little in common with the previous ones. What a shame!

Owner's response

Hello Andre,
We're sorry we couldn't satisfy you. Unfortunately, your review is very general. After internal analysis, the following points may help with the context: As part of the change of ownership, a few things are changing for us. For example, we're now working with 50% deposits upon order acceptance and will no longer accept card payments for the time being. We've also had to adjust our price list for services. However, our pricing is still significantly lower than the prices of major bicycle manufacturers, out of conviction. We want to offer socially acceptable prices and calculate as much as necessary and as little as possible.
But aside from the changes currently taking place, a change of ownership is always a stressful and demanding time. It's not impossible that some people might reach their limits at some point. So, if we accidentally used the wrong tone at any point, we sincerely apologize.
We wish you all the best and hope you find what you're looking for.
Best regards,
Your evidence bike team
