A really great shop! The self-service area is very well equipped, and the staff is friendly and helpful. If you don't have the time or inclination to do the work yourself, the workshop service is also highly recommended. The mechanic is extremely competent and examines the bike very thoroughly. The prices are also reasonable. I'll definitely be back!

Great shop, with a well-equipped workshop area. I broke several spokes on my bike while out riding, and they were able to help me very well. I had to be a little patient, but the staff are very helpful and provide clear guidance! I'll definitely be back.

I've been a customer here for several years and appreciate the concept of a self-service workshop for people with limited budgets. I also like the owner and a regular colleague, both of whom are friendly, competent, and helpful. However, after an expensive repair, I had a quick breakdown. This was repaired free of charge after I pointed out the issues, which I initially appreciated. When I picked up my bike, the brakes were practically unusable because they hadn't been tightened. The wheel wasn't properly attached (!) after being removed and reinstalled and needed tightening. Halfway home, I got another flat tire, meaning it wasn't even looked at and they just added more air. I'm baffled as to how anyone can approach a repair like that. In short, I've wasted time, money, and money, and had countless conversations, only to find myself back where I started – in the first place, to save time and money, only to have my bike become unusable again. Unfortunately, it seems there are some people in the workshop who don't work accurately, cleanly, or reliably. That's a real shame, and I definitely won't be coming back. I'll look for another workshop where so much time isn't wasted and dissatisfaction with the work results doesn't arise.

Owner's response

Hi J R,

Thank you for your critical review.

I can only apologize on our part.

It seems several aspects that need improvement were to blame.

We normally only return repaired bikes to our customers after a test ride and further inspection by two people.

If you'd like to try us again, I'd be happy to hear from you.

Best regards, Morris from the Radschlag Team
...

I waited over a week for my bike. After I called them, I was told it would be ready the day after I dropped it off and that I'd been notified via text message. When I pointed out that they could have called me just a few minutes earlier, they immediately became rude and didn't even bother to apologize for the mistake. Impossible!

The best bike repair shop around. They helped me directly and professionally with my issues. Other shops panicked me with their absurd repair recommendations (I was expecting €700 in repairs). Thanks to the friendly staff at Radschlag, I only paid about €40, including detailed advice on buying my next spare parts.

My first time at Radschlag, and definitely not my last! I changed a cassette for the first time, and they helped me very quickly and professionally. The whole thing took only 20 minutes. €5 for half an hour; elsewhere I would have had to pay €40 just for the cassette change.

We had two bikes in dire need of fixups. They took great care of them in no-time, both bikes are now as good as new now! And all for a very fair price I must say. Staff was also very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend. There is also the option to fix your bike by yourself, with assistance and tools provided. Great to have this opportunity here.
