I bought a used Kawasaki Z900 from Bikes + Bikes – unfortunately, in hindsight, that was a big mistake. First off: I'm a novice when it comes to motorcycles. The bike was an import from France – this was mentioned, but only in passing. Looking back, I wouldn't have bought it for that reason alone. I received the motorcycle with a "new" two-year TÜV inspection certificate – but it failed the next inspection: The exhaust was too loud, and the emissions standards weren't met. The reason: A catalytic converter bypass pipe (no catalytic converter), which, according to my mechanic, wasn't legal. I had been repeatedly assured beforehand that "everything was fine." A test ride was possible – but I was told that this would further delay delivery. Since I was really looking forward to the motorcycle, I decided against the test ride. Initially, I had confidence. However, the whole process dragged on – partly because of a promised "inspection" that turned out to be a minimal check-up. I had the feeling that after the purchase, there wasn't much effort put into it. I received no written answers to any of my inquiries – everything was handled by phone, which I now regret. In addition, despite low mileage, I had to have the clutch completely replaced after a short time – which strongly suggests pre-existing damage to me. I noticed on the very first ride that the clutch engaged extremely late – I even went back to have it "adjusted." It didn't help. Now for some less serious, but unpleasant, issues: The motorcycle stalled after only 20 meters on the day I bought it, as I was driving out of the lot, because the fuel was completely empty. (Unnecessary) There was an unpleasant discussion when I expressed my concerns that something was wrong. This made me feel like I had done something wrong every time. The discussion became unpleasant when I voiced my concerns that something was wrong. Upon closer inspection, the motorcycle had strange scratches in places where scratches wouldn't normally occur (parts had probably been replaced that one wouldn't normally replace unless it had been in an accident – PURE GUESS based on the facts, as I said, I'm a layman). The price seemed fair at first, since it included a lot of service, but in my case, the service left much to be desired – I would have been better off buying it from an honest seller on a classifieds site. (I've only had good experiences with them so far.) Nevertheless, I had two good years with the bike. The engine ran. Unfortunately, I lost €500 because it failed its roadworthiness test (TÜV) when I sold it, and the new owner insisted on it. Furthermore, replacing the clutch was very expensive, which is apparently common with French vehicles (according to a friend who said these vehicles are often poorly maintained). I didn't know beforehand that the major service was so expensive and the minor service included hardly any maintenance; I could have inquired about that. It would have been nice to hear about such things beforehand from a good and honest seller. Nevertheless, I would have liked to know about these things beforehand. For me, this was not a trustworthy experience, but a bitter disappointment. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this seller – especially not to laypeople or inexperienced buyers. (My personal experience and assessment.)

Prices are a bit high. Initially, the seller was very friendly, but once I'd made the purchase, I stopped responding. I'm generally happy with the bike I bought, but two things were missing, and after repeated inquiries, I didn't receive a response.

Fast and affordable repair of my motorcycle, preventing potential further damage. It's worth going straight to an expert. Thank you for the great work. 👍🏻

One star is too much. No motorcycle accessories were available. There was one helmet lying in the sales area. After 15 minutes of being ignored by the staff, we left empty-handed. We were speechless at how indifferently we were treated/ignored. Zero stars would be more appropriate.

Good KTM shop, good team, friendly boss. Four years ago, on a recommendation, I took my KTM Super Duke R here for repairs (engine), and I was extremely satisfied with the subsequent test report. The boss had already told me back then that if I ever wanted to sell it, I should get in touch. Yesterday, it happened. Simple and straightforward. Thanks.

This is the second time I've bought a used motorcycle here, and as always, I'm satisfied. The bike had a fresh inspection and was then handed over. The young employee did everything he could to get my bike ready on time so I could have it at my doorstep for the start of the season. High praise for that. 4 stars because the tires were 10 years old and therefore rock hard. The guys at Bikes + Bikes (and I) definitely could have noticed this sooner.

I came here in April to get some information and was very kindly invited for a test ride. No unnecessary sales pitch from the boss and no tricks to get me to buy right away... Great bike, good price... MINE! The side cases were delivered on time, registration and financing were handled easily, and the first 1,000km flew by. Even though the appointment book was full... when you buy from Thomas, a lot of things become possible... The service and price are right! Thanks

Unfortunately, I've heard and experienced a lot of negative things. My experiences and my opinion are: The motorcycle wasn't finished for a long time, and items were billed that didn't need to be repaired and were still in good condition. Furthermore, I was sold a racing bike as a used vehicle without any of this background. I can tell by the damage and defects that are typical for this type of bike.

It was very pleasant here; they were very accommodating, even on Saturdays. Matthias is a true professional, and the workshop is exceptionally well-equipped. The dyno run on Saturday will be a very positive memory. Thank you very much, and I would definitely come back.

Have a great selection of bikes and the entire team are professional and willing to help, as well as having the experience to back up their views/suggestions. A great place and has become my 'go to' bike shop
