A few days ago I visited Reckless Wake and I have to say: "I'm blown away!" The workshop looks really cool and the guys are awesome. I personally ride a Reckless Team Series myself and can't imagine riding anything other than Reckless in the future! A local wakeboard manufacturer made in Hamburg, combined with extreme durability and striking designs, makes this decision really easy for me :) The edges, in particular, have already forgiven me a few mishaps (yes, I had to Google that word, haha). With the custom option, there's absolutely no way to compromise on design. All in all, I'm really very satisfied, which is exactly why I'm leaving a Google review :)

I highly recommend these boards. They even have a test center at our ski lift. All my questions were answered quickly and thoroughly when I contacted them. Great service, thank you! Keep up the good work, and above all, they're made in Germany.

Generally, the board did a great job when unpacking and using it for the first four months. Unfortunately, the handmade board was worn through at the base after four months, and the board itself was broken. It's a good thing it only cost €599; you can't expect that much. But what's worse is the service, or rather the "lack of service," after contacting them. There was no real interest, and the only offer was a 40% discount on a new board. Any quality standards for their own products seem nonexistent, as I rode the board for four months...no more, and then it broke. It's a real shame, and I certainly wouldn't recommend it, as both the board and the service don't even come close to meeting my quality standards, the price, or the spirit of the community. A real shame!
Owner's response
Hi Matthias,

As already mentioned in our email conversation, we are very sorry that your board broke down after five months. However, it's clearly visible in the photo you posted here that a crack has formed through the fiberglass due to external impact. Such cracks don't form through normal use, not even with feature use. A sharp object must have caused this crack, which then forms a blister, resulting in increased wear in that area.

It's unfair to accuse us of poor service and quality. However, it is fair that we offered you a goodwill gesture for a new board. With most other manufacturers, such a warranty claim would have been rejected outright. And it's also clear that we can't retroactively refund you 40% on your board, which you purchased five months ago and have already worn out, as you expected.

From our perspective, we made you a good goodwill offer. If it doesn't meet your expectations, we're sorry, but your demand simply isn't an option.

We still wish you all the best and lots of fun on the water.

Your RECKLESS Team

What a fantastic team, they really cater to their customers. For me, there's only one manufacturer left, and that's you. Your boards are amazing, I can highly recommend them to everyone. The ride feel and the look are simply top-notch 💪

Very good board manufacturer! The boards are handcrafted using the highest quality materials and combined with many elaborate processing steps to create a wake wonder. Additionally, each board has been unique for some time now (thanks to the beautiful edges). What's more, the boards are very robust and durable! The workshop itself is beautiful!

The website is in English, so what? It's the quality of the boards that matters. I know the guys and they make really awesome boards. Handmade. In Hamburg.
