I'm incredibly lucky to live just around the corner :) Beforehand, I thought through my new bike in as much detail as possible, considering what it should look like and which components it should have. Then I made an appointment and received very professional and patient advice and measurements. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the consultation was very personal. After about two months, the Skagerrak was ready. I hopped on, took off, and everything felt perfect right away. Combined with my 40-year-old Brooks B66 Champion saddle, I can't tell the difference between riding on the bike and sitting on my couch in the living room, except for the wind in my face. In short: a top-notch velomobile, a perfect fit for me, and visually stunning.

In the cycling community, you often read opinions that Mr. Rudolf Pallesen of Norwid is one of the best frame builders in Germany. I wholeheartedly agree. Let's say you're looking for a bike specifically tailored to your needs, for example, if you don't require hydraulic or disc brakes, but still want three chainrings up front: Norwid can fulfill such requests. I had my bike custom-built there according to my specifications and received concise and professional advice. The company possesses a wealth of expertise; they suggested solutions I wasn't even aware of. The result is impressive; it's a fantastic bike. The craftsmanship is unparalleled; special thanks to Mr. Wiedenmann, who assembled it. Norwid outsources the frame painting, and the paint quality is absolutely top-notch. The whole process wasn't exactly cheap, but the price was entirely reasonable. I found the entire transaction to be exceptionally professional. My advice to anyone interested: When ordering, drive to Nordendorf near Elmshorn yourself, even if it's at the end of the country, and get a personal fitting and consultation; then take a bike ride along the nearby Elbe River. Unfortunately, word has gotten around that they build fantastic bikes there, and the delivery time was painfully long, at least in my case. Never mind, the result is absolutely convincing. Norwid is a small bicycle manufacturer, not exactly around the corner, but the trip there is absolutely worth it! I ordered a lugged steel frame and received one that turned out incredibly stylish and was crafted with exquisite precision. I've never seen this level of workmanship before, and anyone who finds what they're looking for here won't get an "off-the-rack" bike, but rather a customized and bespoke piece of craftsmanship. Anyone for whom a bicycle has always been more than just a means of transportation will surely recognize that Norwid builds more than just "products for getting around." I, for one, am extremely impressed with the result of my order.

The shop is quite remote, but it's well worth the trip. Excellent advice; they take plenty of time to find the right bike. Highly recommended for the serious cyclist.

It doesn't get any better than this. I've been riding a Skagerrak since 2003, and it rides perfectly. Whether crossing Iceland, off-roading with luggage, or on asphalt along rivers or over Alpine passes!

I've been completely satisfied with my Norwid Randonneur Skagerrak 🚴‍♂️ for years now 👍🏻 Together we've experienced many wonderful tours, both near and far. Hopefully, there will be another Norwid Festival soon, like the one two years ago for the 25th anniversary. It's great to meet so many like-minded people there, chat about bikes, and share stories about your tours. Personally, I would buy a Norwid again in a heartbeat 😊 It's just a shame I probably won't have to anymore 🙄

Cool bike shop in the flat countryside behind the dike. Very friendly and helpful. The frames are real gems, especially the stainless steel versions without the paint.

I had my Skagen (Reynolds 953) custom-built there four years ago and I'm very happy with it. The frame is stiff without being too harsh. They made me a great Reynolds 953 frame ("Skagen") four years ago, one of my personal favorites. It has a good balance of power transfer without being too harsh.

Here, the customer is king! I assembled and measured a Skagerrak together with Rudolf Pallesen. Even after six months, I wouldn't change anything about the assembly. Even though the quality comes at a price: I'd do it again anytime!
