I've been a customer of this bike repair shop for several years, appreciating its proximity and the generally quick repair times. However, my latest visit left was off-putting. I sought assistance with my bike's dynamo motor wiring (the light stopped working when I pedal), asking how soon they might be able to look into it, only to be informed that an appointment would not be available for four months, and I was furthermore met with a dismissive attitude. The explanation given was that priority was being given to "those regular customers who had purchased their bikes directly from the shop, paying 6,000 euros for a bicycle", and how it would be unfair if I would be prioritized over them for my "bike lamp". There was even a subsequent sarcastic exchange with a colleague right in front me, questioning whether they should even bother with my request. So instead of just simply saying that they're really booked out at the moment, the employee decided to make me feel foolish for even asking. While I understand the concept of prioritizing long-standing or high-spending customers, the manner in which this was communicated was both unprofessional and unwelcoming. I even mentioned that I've brought the same bikes there multiple times before, after which he changed his explanation to "yeah, well we're also 2 employees shorter than normal." OK, I recognize that businesses can become understaffed and overwhelmed, but basic customer service principles should still apply. A straightforward and respectful explanation of the situation would have been much more appropriate and would have maintained the goodwill of a "repeat customer" like myself. Instead, there was this dismissive and snarky vibe right away (without even knowing much about my problem), which didn't feel great. Now I know that I shouldn't bother coming anymore!

Having searched for "the" bike for quite some time, I finally came across Bikedudes. The dudes understood right away what I was looking for and all the different bikes they presented to me had the right fit and were simply great. I was able test-ride them right away and also took them for a spin again a few days later. The guys are very friendly and knowledgeable, give great advice and are always happy to help, even with minor things. No need to ever look for another bikeshop!

Top fast, friendly and diligent service. Got my old bike there for an overhaul on the drivetrain. Ad-hoc budget done at the shop, always looking for the best price-quality components. While repairing it, I was informed continuously via phone calls about the repair process which was quite reassuring. Will repeat for sure

Needed a couple of small adjustments on a gravel bike and they were super responsive and helpful. In less than 5 minutes they fixed all my problems. I also took my bike there for a regular check and everything was done and priced well. Can only recommend!!

Just passed by the shop, I had to get my pedals removed. They told me the cost upfront before proceeding with the changes and it took them under 10 minutes while the price was really fair. Will go back again in the near future.

Excellent service, excellent advice. Never had a better experience in a bike shop. And that's not just by Berlin standards. Purchased two very good bikes. The staff dedicated around 3 hours of their time to helping us. The new bikes were ready the same day. In fact I was told that I could pick them up straight away if I wanted. Don't think I will ever go to another bike store in Berlin.

Thanks, bikedudes, for making my pretty old bike work fine again. :) During the repair process they called twice to ask for permission before changing additional spare parts. Thanks for your efforts, guys! I am very happy!

This is a great place with very helpful people. I wanted to try a bike that they had but wasn't assembled. They assembled it and called me 2 days later. Highly recommended.

Overhiped store with bad service! Would never bring any bike there again! After ages of waiting time and just a flat tired that had been to be repaired they ruined my brand new rim on my expensive race bike. The only offer they came up with, was getting a new rim that didn't`t match the original and has a different look to the other rim on the bike. Part of the destructive way of "working" on my bike is also a late defect of the tire itself. Of course no replacement offered by them. You pay there for getting your stuff destroyed and having your stuff unavailable for a long time.

I really have nothing but good things to say about the bike dudes. As an Auslander and I think just a human being it is near impossible to find a decent bike shop in this town. Most of the time you are ignored and if you are greeted it’s with distain and annoyance. This couldn’t be further from my experience with the Bike Dudes. As soon as I came in (with a pretty unique problem) I was greeted with enthusiasm and interest. They were super helpful when it came to solving the problem, which resulted in me having to buy a new frame (totally my own fault). It arrived super fast and when I went to collect it they were open, honest and helpful with their knowledge with tips and tricks to help me put the bike together. There was none of this hard sell to get the repair done there or dark art secrecy that you can find in bike stores the world over. They really take their time with the customer, finding the right bike, part or solution. I could not recommend them more. Oh, and they all speak really good English to boot, and were really patient with my stumbling Deutsch :-). Cheers guys!
