A short story about buying a Tuscus gravel bike I met Xaver, the owner and head mechanic at Bockstein, more or less by chance when I was having problems with a set of wheels. His workshop is a full 3.5 km from where we live, and he responded promptly and helpfully to my inquiry. While he professionally solved the problem, I browsed the very well-equipped workshop and discovered both his "Mauerweg" carbon frames and wheels, as well as his "Tuscus" titanium frames. The quality and workmanship of the frames were top-notch, and (at least equally important) the dealer himself seemed competent, knowledgeable, passionate, friendly, and no-nonsense. Building wheels was also the core of his business, which interested me greatly. My interest in gravel riding and bikepacking grew, and the Tuscus has been on my mind ever since. After a few months, I started looking for a suitable gravel bike, so I contacted Xaver, and we got along well during the conversation. I had the opportunity to test ride the frame in different sizes and find the right one. When selecting components, I felt very well advised, taken seriously, and not pushed in any direction. We discussed the different options in detail and put together my dream bike. Since I was unfortunately 1,500 km away during the build, Xaver kept me updated with emails, WhatsApp messages, and lots of photos. After the successful delivery, the final part of the purchase will be a test ride on site when I return to the country. I can hardly wait!

I had Xaver build a Tuscus titanium bike through Deutsche Dienstrad. I was able to pick it up about two weeks ago, and what can I say... it turned out really great and rides incredibly dynamically while still being comfortable. From the first contact, it was noticeable how enthusiastic Xaver is about his work. In our regular exchanges, he gave us good tips, and we could always draw on his experience if needed. In the end, my dream bike is now in my garage. Many thanks to Xaver and keep up the good work. Highly recommended, small shop for bike enthusiasts.

I'm absolutely thrilled with Xaver and Bockstein Bikes. I had another wheel builder build me wheels with Nextie rims. Unfortunately, that wheel builder passed away, and I had a problem with my rear wheel rim. Google told me that Xaver also uses Nextie rims. After contacting them, I received incredibly friendly, selfless, and competent help, and Xaver was able to get me a new rim free of charge from Nextie. The assembly was then completed within one (!) day after my wheelset arrived in Berlin. How awesome is that?! Thanks a million again! Germany a service desert? Not with Bockstein :)

After a year and a half with my Bockstein Mauerweg, I can wholeheartedly give it 5 stars. Xaver built the bike for me individually according to my specifications, and I could completely rely on his expertise when it came to the wheels. Whenever I had questions or problems afterward, he was always quick and extremely competent. If you're looking to buy custom-made yet affordable carbon or titanium components (especially for gravel bikes), it's definitely worth contacting him.

Very nice Ti frames. Excellent communication and customer service. Very helpful with after purchase questions. Really enjoying the ride. It was everything I was looking for in a gravel frame set at a fair price.

After ordering my frame there, I also had my Nextie wheels built there. Communication, advice, and the entire process were very professional and customer-oriented! The quality of the wheels and the workmanship (spoke adjustment, hubs, etc.) are outstanding. I can only recommend that anyone who wants something unique, not off-the-shelf, take a look around here. The prices are excellent for this quality! Highly recommended.
