Don't buy bikes from this Decathlon. Mine is completely worn out after just 10 months. In that time, the tire has blown out twice, and I had to pay an additional €100 to fix other issues like the chain set and rear block, as they were completely rusted and about to break (even though the bike has been kept in a garage).

What shall I say? It's Decathlon. I'm completely unsure about the fact that they offer a lot of stuff for relatively cheap prices (especially those from their "home brands"...) and if that can go well with responsible and sustainable thinking. I don't trust them to do whatever they can to give their customers the ability to leave a footprint as small as possible, but then, I trust almost no company to do that. Not in a world where everything is about profit only. There are a few things they have in store which are quite good, but most things are more within the middle of a general quality range. So I always think twice or even three times before buying anything there (as I do in most other shops as well by the way...), but sometimes I simply cannot resist their low price on a certain product. And sometimes it turns out quite good and sometimes not so much. For example: bought a tarp and a bivvy bag a while ago, and while the tarp turned out remarkably good, the bivvy bag wasn't. Cheap not only on the price, but on every other aspects as well. But the tarp surprised me and it's still in very good use. So for me it's always a kind of a lucky draw, and that's why I always consider many other options first before deciding to try and get something there. Besides that it must be said that the staff there is super helpful and they're going to great lengths to get you what you want or find a substitute...

Kind and smiling, the young workers offer delicious strawberry cake slices with Sahne; all considerably cheaper than most places around. It doesn’t feel capitalistic (: I read two articles from The London Review of Books here and it felt that the magazine reads perfectly this side of the city. Strange but yeah, maybe some texts are made to be read in some spaces but not others?

Everything you need for sports equipment can be found here! Very friendly staff, a large selection of equipment that you need for the mountains, for the beach or to use every day. I highly recommend them, I would visit them again.☺

Decathlon is my favorite sport store by far. They offer good quality product for an affordable prices. It ranges from basic to premium products. I have been to multiple stores. In this specific store, I went to a service point to do a security check for my bike that I bought 2 years ago from an other decathlon store. The service was quite fast. I left my bike there and they called me back in 2 days to take it. They did a full check and adjusted what needed to be adjusted. Of course any extra equipment I asked for to be added is paid extra to the check costs which is 40€ at the time of this review.
