Excellent service and advice. I drive all the way from Schmargendorf, about 10 minutes at a fast pace, to the store because the price-performance ratio and quality are excellent. Even minor issues like a missing screw or nut are handled free of charge.

The staff are very friendly and competent; the workshop prices are reasonable, and minor bike problems are often fixed quickly and free of charge! I've been a loyal customer for years and can highly recommend Fahrradhof Steglitz to any cycling enthusiast!

I can't say much about their sales department as I have only ever bought parts that their repair shop then installed. But even though the waiting time for any repairs is usually long - around two weeks - they have always done a good job. Today I was particularly impressed when I came with a front light with a broken bracket. The salesman just handed me a brand new light as these small plastic brackets aren't sold separately and sent me half a block up the road to their shop. He trusted me not to run off with the new light on my way to their colleagues. These guys however took a look at the light which still worked and said they hated throwing out things that could be repaired and told me to come back an hour later, When I returned they had cannibalized one of their old lights and had replaced just the bracket. For payment they asked for a donation to their piggy bank. They really helped restore my faith in the generally good nature of craftsmen.

I brought my bike (wo any appointment) that started to make a strange noise. The master took a look and immediately found the problem - too long screw hitting the chain. The screw was replaced. Best service!

So, I went to them with the dog buggy that I bought somewhere online to purchase a drawbar for a bicycle, they told me " To go to buy it where I bought the buggy". I had a mild shock. Ordered on Amazon, and got the next day. Thanks, guys! Next time when you wonder why your shop is empty and Amazon is billion worth company, read this review a few times.

yeah, don't bring a brand new bike to them for initial service (if not sold by them), they'll turn you away (just like mentioned by others as well). should've read the reviews.

If you have a new bike you want built these guys will turn you away at the door, and not very friendly! I went to little John's bikes instead, spent my 200 euros there for a build, basket and lock. they fit me in on the day, and we're super friendly.

Thank you Marc for your sage advice on selecting the right R&M cargo bike for my family. Without your help I'd have made the wrong choice. I owe you a few beers :) In the end I had to buy the bike in Stockholm due to logistics. From there it's just a ferry ride to Riga. Thank you for your time once more and next time I'm in Berlin I'd like to say thanks in person :)
