I was looking for a tennis shop that could string my 30-year-old Wilson racket. The shop owner went to great lengths to help and asked for an extra day for my model, as it's quite old and he wanted to make sure everything went smoothly. Excellent advice.

Sometimes you still experience some very pleasant surprises at a specialty store! While searching for new tennis shoes, which proved difficult during the pandemic, I went to the Grand Slam tennis shop on a recommendation. I was initially a bit skeptical, as I couldn't imagine that such a small shop would have a sufficient selection. However, the very courteous and extremely charming owner immediately offered me four pairs of shoes in my size and expertly demonstrated them. Since I felt very comfortable in all four pairs, I was very reliant on his excellent advice, which covered both the grip of the soles and the comfort during play. Not only that, but in the end, I was spoiled for choice and also received comprehensive advice on which shoes would best match my tennis outfits. Many thanks to the owner, who, as I learned, is also the head coach and instructor at the Berlin-Brandenburg State Performance Center! I'm sure that shopping for tennis gear with him isn't the only enjoyable experience; training is too. I'll be back soon!
