I had the best experience possible. I definitely suggest these guys! They were very friendly and honest, they took my bikes' problems (l took there 2 bikes) personally and managed to fix them very fast and in low cost. It will be my bike repair shop from now on

Supernice owner who cares about his customers! I came by the store today to have my bike fixed as I thought I have flat tires. Instead of just taking in the bike and charging me for exchanging the tires, the owner suggested I should just pump it up first, and even helped me out. He was right, I saved money, and will sure come back to this store when I have "real problems" with my bike.

After shopping around for a week for a bike, I returned to the place I started, Zweitrad. On my first visit Ulrich took the time to explain everything (I had a road bike 12 years ago and had no clue when it came to city bikes) and on the second visit, Lukas set up all the add-ons and threw in a few goodies too. The bonus is if you service your bike within 3 months, the service is 25-30 Euros (perfect timing to winter-proof your bike). You can set up worldwide insurance on a new bike at a rate cheaper than other online alternatives which includes all add ons, vandalism and overnight theft. These details matter because these are quality bikes. The only reason I'm giving a 4-star is checking at the other store Hollandraad the bike I bought had a rack, the one here didn't and none were in stock. I was told once it arrives, it would be added in for free. If so, I'll change this rating and update to 5 stars. I was happy with my experience here and would recommend it for anyone looking for a beautiful set of wheels. *update, got the rack and rating is now 5 stars :)

Rip-off. I brought my bike for the annual checkup and I was so surprised when they charged me 150€. They took 59€ just for the inspection. 15€ of service for changing a tube and, as this was not enough, additional 32€ of service for changing breaks and pedals. In total 106 euro just in service (plus components). Unbelievable.

Unfortunately I've had nothing but hassle as a result of going to Zweitrad. I ordered a bike at the start of April and paid around 50% of the full price as a deposit with the statement that the bike would be there within 1 week, 2 at the lastest. Two weeks passed and I heard nothing back about the status of the bike. So I decided to call and enquire in week 3. I left 2 messages on their answering machine that I would appreciate a call back to know what was going on. I received no calls. Then I got through to the boss on the 3rd attempt. He said that the bikes would be delivered in the week beginning 24th April and assembled the week beginning May 1st and I would receive a call. So I waited another two weeks and, you guessed it, no call. I called another 3 times during the following week, but it seems their phone was disconnected. Totally frustrated I personally went to to shop to find out what was going on. The bike(s) have still not been delivered, with no delivery date known! So we agreed that I would receive my deposit back and we would see how to proceed if a bike arrived. That was 5 days ago, and I still have not received my deposit back. Good luck.

I've been here today for the first time, because the other bike repair nearby (Radkraft) told me that they only had time for fixing my bike a week later. I am highly satisfied as they directly fixed my bike (chain and other small fixes) and managed to do that in one hour, so that I could have it back for lunch time. Staff is very friendly, I'll come back here! :)

Excellent service, maintenance for my Dutch Batavus bike. Friendly staff, helpful and knowledgeable what more could one want. Full service for the bike was 49,- (they did forget to fix my back light) but bike is like new again. :-)

I've been waiting for 3 weeks today for the repair service to fix my front basket holder This type of service is not only sad, it's also incredibly inconsiderate. I've asked to pick up the bike while we wait for the basket fixer to arrive (it wasn't ordered during the first week), but now, on week three still no bike and no service. Note that I will pay almost 50€ for this. Highly dissapointed, and will never return for services, although I purchased my bike here #update Ended up paying 60, and the person charging it didn't know why it cost 20€ more than last year- it just is. Find another service point, you'll be doing yourself a favor.

I had business with this shop on multiple occasions and each and every time have they been nothing but fair, friendly and highly competent. Usually the work was done within one day and I never had any complaints. What I specifically like is that they explained the costs to me upfront so I had the chance to either negotiate or take my business elsewhere.

My wife had to repair a flat tire and left the bike at Zweitrad last week; i went to pick it up today and these sweet guys charged me 26 Euro to change a tube -no kidding (I have the receipt). I'm usually pretty fast to react if i think i am being ripped off, but this one left me numb; when i finally came to my senses and confronted these guys, i was told with a straight face that it took them 1 hour of work to change the tube (again, it is written on my receipt). I don't usually write ratings on the web, but you guys definitely deserve 20 minutes of my undivided attention. Granted, the shop happens to be on this ineffable stretch of Fehrbelliner where hordes of bearded monocle-readers, pseudo start-uppers spend the weekend to buy customised leather pouches to hang prosecco from their bike frame. Sorry to tell you 2 guys at Zweitrad - you thought you were at the very pinnacle of western urban culture, but here is the scoop: changing a tire is probably the simplest manual operation you can possibly perform and still call it a job. If you think it's below your rank, grow a beard and go get a job at a start-up.
